Our community is run by dedicated volunteers. Positions are limited and require a formal application process. If you would like to apply to stay and help, email our team for an application form.

From the heights of the Tibetan Plateau to the Lowlands of Scotland, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche’s vision has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

Whether you are a resident in a remote monastery, a child in Kathmandu, or a visitor here at Samye Ling, the immense legacy of Akong Rinpoche continues to grow. Without concern for his own well-being, he dedicated his life to alleviating the suffering of others.

Since 2013, the Foundation has moved forward with the vital work he planned for Dolma Lhakang, his monastery in Tibet. Your support ensures these projects of compassion remain a living reality.

The activity mandala of our Lamas extends far beyond the hills of Eskdalemuir. Under the guidance of Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, a network of centres has flourished across the UK and around the world, providing spaces for meditation, study, and community.
