Gathered at Samye Ling for the Khyabje Akong Tulku Memorial Retreat, the Lamas, Sangha, and lay community joined His Holiness the 17th Karmapa and Kagyu monasteries worldwide to observe the Parinirvana Anniversary of the 8th Karmapa, Mikyo Dorje. After His Holiness spoke on the profound benefits of honoring great masters, an offering of debate by the Kagyu shedras was made, and the assembly joined together for the sadhana of Kagyu songs written by Mikyö Dorje.

Many friends and students from near and far corners of the world gathered to commemorate the 12th Anniversary of Khyabje Akong Tulku Rinpoche’s passing with a practice retreat.
